Today Joanna is talking about how we continually look to our thoughts for our experiences of our lives and that we are all hardwired to seek out pleasure and avoid pain. This leads to so many of us thinking we can manipulate our lives to feel fulfilled.

Here are this week’s reflection questions: 

  • Who would you be without your thoughts?
  • Where are your repetitive thoughts reeking havoc in your life?
  • Are you willing to develop the kind of self awareness that will allow you to pick and choose which thoughts you will pay attention to?
  • What is the line between embracing our imperfections, our faults, our human flaws, and striving for our dreams?
